\nThe journal Studia Translatorica was established at the initiative of the editor-in-chief, Anna Małgorzewicz, in 2010. The first volume included articles documenting the discussions that took place during the international conference Translation: Theorie – Praxis – Didaktik in September 2009 at the Institute of German Studies, University of Wrocław. The main theme of the conference set the direction for the journal, which now serves as a platform for academic reflection on various forms of translation and interpreting, as well as on inter- and intralingual, intra- and intersemiotic translation. The journal also publishes articles exploring metascientific aspects of translation science, research methodology and the methodics of (experimental) research procedures. Some of the published articles are devoted to modern academic didactics of translation.
\nThe editors of the journal are staff members of the Department of Translatorics and Glottodidactics at the Institute of German Studies, University of Wrocław. The journal is published by Oficyna Wydawnicza ATUT (Wrocław) and Senfkorn Verlag (Görlitz) and appears once a year. The editorial board invites guest editors to collaborate on selected volumes of the journal.
\nThe aim of the journal Studia Translatorica is to facilitate international exchange of scholarly ideas. From the very first volume of the journal, we have sought to ensure that each volume includes contributions in foreign languages, including contributions by authors affiliated with academic institutions abroad. For this reason, in addition to texts in Polish, we publish articles in English and German.
\nThe primary version of the journal is the print version.
\nArticles published in the journal Studia Translatorica as well as on the website of the journal are protected by copyright. Only the fair use of the materials in accordance with Articles 23–35 of the Polish Copyright Law of 4 February 1994 (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1231, as amended) is allowed. The articles published on the journal’s website are under the Creative Commons BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.

Den Kern der in den publizierten Beiträgen angestellten Erwägungen bildet die Problematik diverser Arten des Übersetzens und Dolmetschens wie auch das Vom-Blatt-Dolmetschen sowie audiovisuelle Translationsarten, die u.a. vor dem Hintergrund translatorischer, linguistisch, psycholinguistisch und kognitiv profilierter Modelle betrachtet werden. In unserer Zeitschrift veröffentlichen wir auch Forschungsergebnisse der experimentellen Translatorik, die Einblicke in die Regeln der zwischenmenschlichen, in den verschiedenen Arten von Translationsgefügen zustande kommenden Sprachkommunikation verschaffen. Zum Publizieren laden wir auch Autoren ein, die die Translation vor dem Hintergrund ihrer kommunikativen und interkulturellen Faktoren erforschen. Interessiert sind wir auch an Beiträgen im Bereich der akademischen wie auch der schulischen Translationsdidaktik.","en":"","pl":"Czasopismo \"Studia Translatorica\" powstało w 2010 r. Temat przewodni tej konferencji wyznaczył profil czasopisma, które stanowi obecnie płaszczyznę naukowej refleksji dotyczącej teoretycznych i praktycznych aspektów translacji oraz jej profesjonalnej dydaktyki. Centrum naukowych rozważań podejmowanych w publikowanych artykułach tworzy problematyka różnych rodzajach tłumaczenia tekstów pisanych i tłumaczeń ustnych, tłumaczenia a vista, translacji audiowizualnych rozpatrywanych m.in. w kontekście modeli translatorycznych, wyprofilowanych lingwistycznie, psycholingwistycznie i kognitywnie. Na łamach naszego czasopisma publikujemy również wyniki badań translatoryki eksperymentalnej, które umożliwiają wgląd w prawa rządzące międzyludzką komunikacją językową zachodzącą w różnych rodzajach układów translacyjnych. Do publikowania zapraszamy również Autorów, którzy badają translację na tle jej komunikacyjnych i interkulturowych uwarunkowań.
